Concepts experience and knowledge of profile lighting, high grade aluminium, technically driven design, and quality testing systems align perfectly with our objectives at Light Project. Our relationship with Concept allows Light Project to continue to offer a product portfolio orientated to the design market with products selected for their quality and performance.
The Concept range of profile systems are proudly manufactured in New Zealand. Together with over a decade of local experience – their partners in Germany, BPS Leuchten Systeme, have been designing, manufacturing and testing profiles louvres, reflectors and diffusers since 1983. Concept utilise the BPS proven optical systems together with their customised extrusions to manufacture the Concept product range.
The grade of aluminium used in Concept products is the highest available, and when used together with one of their standard finishes Concept boast both a long life span and ability to recycle at the end of the profiles life.
Concept utilise MIRO louvres specifically tailored for the T5 lamps and their diffusers are lined with lengthwise prisms. Together with their own reflectors Concept profiles yield Light Output Ratios of up to 89% on diffuser models and 104% with louvre direct/indirect.
Testing is conducted in realistic luminaire ambient air temperatures found in modern environments and additionally all standard lamp modules exceed the requirements of all current manufacturing standards and tests. Thermal management of control gear ensures life expectancy of this vital component is extended and Concept aim for 10˚C under manufacturers recommendations.
