Pin-Up: Trace – Christina Waterson

Join us for Brisbane-based architect and artist Christina Waterson’s Trace. Mapping and connecting the underlying conceptual ideas that thread through Waterson’s work, Trace embodies a 3 dimensional ‘trace’, sketch or echo of past trajectories. The exhibition features a palette of materials that range from rubber, leather and felt resonate with a return to artisan values within the traditions of leather-work, sewing, beading and macramé. Trace forms part of the 2012 LMFF Cultural Program and is presented by How we Create.

Opening on the 3rd of November at Pin Up, just around the corner from us in Keele Street Collingwood – Boyd’s Error: Planning’s Curse is an ambitious exhibition that aspires to change the way in which we perceive Australian urbanism. The exhibition comprises of a photographic collage of each building circumscribing the Johnston, Brunswick, Gertrude and Smith Street Fitzroy block.
